Automated Testing
We build automated testing systems as in-line verficiation cells or standalone stations. Standalone stations are often manually loaded, operating in an automatic mode only to conduct the test.

Typical automated test tasks include:

  • Electrical measurements
    • Voltage
    • Frequency
    • Continuity
    • Hi-Pot
    • Waveform
  • Magnetic flux measurements
  • Product programming or verification
  • Performance Measurements
    • Speed
    • Torque
    • Force
    • Oscillation Amplitude
  • Leak testing

With in-line testing, one of the principal issues is whether or not to test in a dedicated nest, or using the workholding provided by the transfer system. We have found that dedicated test nests are critical to tests where the position and clamping of the test subject affect measurement repeatability, such as magnetic flux measurements. In cases where position is largely irrelevant, we have found that "in-situ" testing is perfectly adequate.
